This Clematis has been really beautiful this year. It was in full bloom when I returned from my holiday and is still looking good. For some reason it seems to do well on alternate years.

Your clematis is lovely. We have noticed that some plants do better on alternate years; our plum tree is laden this year, we had no plums at all last year. Perhaps the colder winters are good for the gardens :-)
