I have no idea what this first flower is called and, in fact, this is not the best colour as it is more purple than blue in real life. I just thought it was pretty and to be flowering through all the awful winter weather is amazing.
Below the first crocuses are beginning to show their faces, giving the garden a little burst of much welcome colour.

For some reason I couldn't view your first pic, but the crocus are the first I have seen this year! Spring is on the way :-)
Chris not sure why, I do notice that some take longer to load.
