A little while ago a rogue plant suddenly started growing in the front garden and embee decided to leave it and see what emerged. He thinks that it a ...... well have a guess it has now gone to seed and I stupidly didn't take a picture while it was in flower. There are no prizes so if you are correct you will just have the kudos of knowing you are a smarty pants!!

I think it is an arum lily - but of course since the leaves are in such a ravaged state - you have made this quite a challenge. There were many arums in West Australia where it has become yet another of those invasive pest species (brought alas by the homesick English), one that is crowding out the native plants. They are beautiful white flowerts akin to the calla lily.
