This is such a beautiful colour and the plant is in full bloom very early this year. I cannot remember the name of this variety and from my web search I cannot be certain as several varieties are similar looking. I think it might be 'The President' and if anyone can confirm this I would be grateful.

No - unfortunately Mrs Purple Royale didn't become the president. Sarkosy won in the end.

Lovely clematis, no matter if it's a president or not =) I can't grow them to save my life. Dandelions, however...
tracey my hubby says plenty of manure (horse) and growmore and keep well watered.
