This is my mother applying lippie just to walk a few yards along the road to get the daily paper. She doesn't feel dressed if she goes out without a bit a makeup. We were having a laugh about this and she managed to get lip liner in all the wrong places.

granny has gone out to lunch with her friend so I will tell her what you said when she comes back.
Good on Granny.I've noticed in Britsh TV shows (like Coro St) women putting the makeup on sitting at the kitchen table. Is that the norm? Here we hide in the bathroom to do our make up and done come out until we look normal.
beccy granny laughed when I told he rshe says she has got to cut down again now she's gained all th eweight she lost in hospital.
barbara I don't think it's really the norm, for mum it's better light in her sitting room just for lipstick.
